hi guys, i am looking for some help if you can please, i drove my ford mondeo titanium x the liverpool today from birmingham when i arrived i parked my car and pressed the button to shut the engine down, upon doing this the car made some fun noise's from the dash beeps and that so i pressed the engine button again and the car shut down as it should. now when igot back in my car 10 minutes Car is completely dead. Titanium X TDCi (140) Duratorq with keyless entry / pushbutton ignition. The car was fine yesterday, ran without any issues at all. Just went out to clean the inside of the windscreen, and the keyless entry didn't work (from either fob). I retrofitted TPMS sensors to my Mondeo Mk4.5 and installed conversmod TPMS patch. Went for 40 km drive, after about 20 km display popped up a message saying TPMS sensors not detected. Carried on for another 20 km and no change. Convers display just shows _._ bar at each wheel position.
Even gauge sweep won't always help. The cluster has no other problems (display, LEDs, etc.) except for the needles. Dash diagnostics are also ok (eg. speed information). I have reflowed the MCU and about 50-100 components around it. I also reflowed the connector pins which were clearly cracked. 466 posts · Joined 2008. #2 · Dec 9, 2009 (Edited by Moderator) Yes, its one of the icons on the LCD, it displays in the same place as the low fuel/seatbelt/cruise warning indicators. If you want to see it, put the cluster into test mode (hold down the OK button while turning the ignition to the II position). Also my car is mondeo mk4 2008 1.8 and I have the done the convers+ upgrade to facelift with mortal's firmware . When engine off radio stays on then open driver door the stereo turns off . I will take pics of unit back with connections when I can. eJslW.
