The Alfa Romeo MiTo is an Italian take on the upmarket small car, competing with rivals like the Audi A1. It offers a stylish design but sadly doesn’t feel quite up to the quality of a MINI or Citroen DS3, nor is it quite as good to drive. It’s not the most practical small car either, which leaves it lagging in quite a few key areas.
Is the Alfa Romeo Mito a good car? The Alfa Romeo Mito is the smallest car that the company sells in the UK. Although it’s the same size as a Ford Fiesta or Vauxhall Corsa, the Alfa is a more expensive, high-prestige car that is an alternative to the likes of the Audi A1 and Mini.
156 Crosswagon Q4. 147. 21. r/AlfaRomeo • 27 days ago. Bought this 159 Ti as spares/repairs for £1500. Spent another £1100 on parts, labour and tyres and have been driving it for the last 3 months. It’s been getting 47mpg and other than a brake switch (£15) it hasn’t failed me yet!
The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione is, arguably, the world's most beautiful car. It is the sum of its parts that, like Barbie, combine to make something quite extraordinary. Naturally, a carmaker who builds a $300,000-plus car like the 8C wants to capitalise on its beauty - and its expense - by translating the appeal into its cheaper line of models.
A funky car is the selling point for a lot of independent driving schools these days. With so many MINI's and 500's around the Mito has exclusivity. You'd probably attract a fair few "upmarket" clients purely for the AR badge. A number of colleagues have bought Mito's for their offspring for the same reason.
a (leather?) interior from a fancier mito, a full set of leather seats over here is 300-500 euros, the sport-cloth ones about 300-ish; Otherwise i would suggest just keeping on top of maintenance and learning about keeping the car in good shape. Mods arent worth anything if your suspension rubbers are shot and brakes are crap.
This car, the hot hatch MiTo, first launched badged as a 'Cloverleaf' in 2009, is certainly in good company. In the early noughties, industry pundits often pointed out that for a performance brand, Alfa Romeo had been singularly lacking in the matter of providing the market with a credible high performance hot hatch.
